Introduction
The two-year curriculum in respiratory care prepares the student to function as a life support specialist in the treatment, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.

The Respiratory Care Program has been granted accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), in collaboration with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), 1248 Harwood Road, Bedford, TX 76021, 1-817-283-2835, http://www.coarc.com/. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the national registry examination given by the National Board for Respiratory Care. For more information on CAAAHEP please visit www.caahep.org.

Clinical Affiliates
Hospital affiliates provide the student with clinical experience in the administration of respiratory care therapeutics. The respiratory care program has contracted the use of leading hospitals in the area:
